SWAT 3: Elite Edition 1.7 Update

The 1.7 Update updates all versions of SWAT 3: Elite Edition to incorporate the latest changes and improvements, including the following:
- Shooting accuracy is improved while moving.
- Long-range pistol accuracy has been reduced.
- Chat support is enabled between "dead" characters.
- After a multiplayer session, players return to that session's starting room when they choose "Call-Up."
- Additional Sierra-sanctioned mod missions (Autoshop, Garage, Library, Post Office) are supported in the Scenario Editor.
- Player preferences (weapon, ammunition, skin, camouflage) are automatically saved.
For a complete list of modifications please review the readme file included with the 1.7 update file. This update is required only for
online play; it can be automatically downloaded and applied by logging on for SWAT 3: Elite Edition Internet play, or can be
manually installed from the following locations.
SWAT 3 European Data Update

There are six unique localized versions of SWAT 3: Elite Edition; North
America (English), United Kingdom (English), German, French, Italian, and
Spanish. This optional update allows owners of the French, Italian, and
Spanish versions of SWAT 3: Elite Edition to join multiplayer games created
by North American and United Kingdom players and vice-versa. Owners of the
North American and United Kingdom versions of SWAT 3 should not
download this update. Due to local regulations, this update is not
compatible with German versions of the game. This update requires the prior
installation of the SWAT 3: Elite Edition 1.7 Update.
1.6 Update: Free Multiplayer Update for SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle Added October 13, 2000
Size: Approximately 50 MB
Attention: Required Update (Multiplayer Mode)
This file adds the base level of multiplayer and mod capabilities of SWAT 3: Elite Edition to SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle. This file updates SWAT 3 versions 1.1 and 1.2 to version 1.6. The upgrade is 50 MB and offered in various languages, both as a single download and as six separate downloads for users with low-bandwidth connections.

3D Driver Information
If you're running SWAT 3 in hardware-acceleration mode, please make sure you're using
the very latest drivers for your 3D-accelerator card. Even if you've recently bought
your computer or 3D card, it's likely that updated drivers have since become available.
Find the chipset used by your 3D card in the list of manufacturers below, then go to the manufacturer's site to download the latest drivers.
If you're unsure which chipset is installed on your 3D card, refer to the card's
documentation or look up your card on Adrenaline Vault's Video Board List.
Sierra works closely with these vendors and will update this page frequently with the latest information on any known issues. Check back often, or call the manufacturer directly if you continue to have problems running SWAT 3.

Disk and Manual Replacement
To replace your SWAT CD within 90 days after purchase, please send only the CD and a copy of your dated receipt. After 90 days, please include a US $10 handling fee along with the game CD. For documentation, please include a $5.00 handling fee and a photocopy ONLY of the game CD (A36.00 for disk or manual replacements inside the UK). Please include payment with your request. Sorry, no credit cards.
