Crime Information
A Los Angeles subway train has been hijacked; the international delegations on-board have been taken hostage by armed gunmen at the 7th/Metro Center station.
Location Information
The 7th/Metro Center station is located underground and is the only station in the system where the Red and Blue lines converge. The lines run in opposite directions and are located on separate levels. The Blue Line is located on the uppermost level and travels north to south. The Red Line is located one level lower and travels east to west. The delegation was traveling westbound on the Red Line. The exact location of the hostages is unknown.
There are four entry points into the 7th/Metro Center. Each is located above the Blue Line level and each provides adequate cover and concealment. Given that no clear tactical advantage exists for either the police or terrorists, the choice of entry point is up to the entry team.
Additional Information
C team has shut off power to both trains and set up an exterior perimeter. The suspects have ignored CNT's attempts at negotiation and have failed to identify themselves. At the start of the siege, the suspects released one hostage with a demand: return power to the trains or hostages will be killed.
Suspect Profile
According to the released hostage there are three male suspects: All Caucasian, in their mid 30s, dressed in business suits.
The suspects displayed automatic weapons and were seen using two-way radios, indicating they are organized and professional. They are not to be underestimated, and remember that their clothing will make it difficult to differentiate them from hostages.
Hostage Information
The hostages are all high-ranking US or foreign politicians and dignitaries. The train they were riding was a specially scheduled Red Line train traveling from the downtown area to the Convention Center. Before the train took on passengers, C team ran dogs through the Red Line tunnels and stations along the planned route and declared it clear of threat. This appears to substantiate a claim made by the released hostage that the hijackers initially posed as members of the delegation.
Hostages include Russian President Igor Stomas, His Holiness Alexy III, the Chinese Foreign Minister, California Governor Barbara Morris and Congressmen Norman Welch and Warren Stickel.
