SWAT3: Elite Edition's expanded single-player features include:
Custom Keyboard and Mouse Mapping
You can customize your in-game controls by mapping your keyboard and mouse. Keyboard and mouse mapping is divided by category: Movement, Weapons and Miscellaneous.
The lean, crouch and stand, and optional reticules can all be mapped to the keyboard or mouse.
Momentarily Lean
With a single toggle control, Elite Edition players can momentarily lean, which is useful for peeking around corners.
Crouch & Stand Toggle
Elite Edition players can crouch and stand.
Optional Reticules
Each weapon in Elite Edition has a reticule shaped to resemble the sight picture of that particular weapon. However, some players may find these reticules distracting, so new, smaller weapon reticules have been included.
Weapons Inertia
In Elite Edition, heavy weapons (such as the Benelli or M4) are harder to aim than light weapons, especially after changing targets quickly. To acquire a good sight picture with heavy weapons, you'll need to take a moment or two to steady the weapon before firing.
Your movement affects accuracy: The faster you move, the less accurate you'll shoot, regardless of weapon type.
Quick Release for Tactical Aids
You can throw flashbangs, CS Gas and lightsticks either full force or half force by using the quick-release option.
Commands Via Opti-Wand and View Ports
Element leaders can issue commands directly through the Opti-Wand and through the assaulter's view ports. You can use this new command method in both single- and multiplayer games.
CS Gas in Stealth Mode
CS Gas can be deployed in Stealth mode without causing the game to change to Dynamic mode. The suspects don't know what's hit them until it's too late.
