Advance your Tribe's position. Gather intelligence. Cross impassable regions. Rain terror and mayhem upon the enemy.
All of the massive and varied worlds of Tribes will be navigable by foot or jetpack. But to secure battle positions and engage the enemy quickly and decisively, vehicles will play a pivotal role.
Each vehicle has a unique purpose. The better your tribe knows how to use these vehicles, the better chance your tribe has to dominate the game:
TURBOGRAVS
SHRIKE Fighter
SHRIKE Fighter
A swift one-person aerial fighter, the Shrike carries two chainguns that fire heavy explosive flechettes. Pilots depend on the Shrike's agility to keep them alive rather than its light shields. Excelling at shooting down other turbogravs, the Shrike Fighter provides a key defense against air-based threats to tribal ground pounders.
Bomber Turbograv
THUNDERSWORD Bomber
The Thundersword is a three-person tactical bomber, carrying a pilot, a tailgunner, and a bombardier. It is much tougher than the Shrike, but slower. The bombardier has a rack of 40 bombs at hand for carpet-bombing ground targets. The Thundersword is also equipped with a lightly armed belly turret the bombardier can use when not dropping bombs.
Heavy Transport Turbograv
HAVOC Heavy Transport
Slow but tough, the Havoc features no guns or special abilities other than rugged construction and enormous carrying capacity. It carries a pilot and a tailgunner, plus four seated passengers who are free to fire their weapons in virtually any direction as the Havoc flies over a contested area. When carrying a full load of Heavy Armors and their enormous firepower, the Havoc truly brings terror to the battlefield.
GROUND VEHICLES
WILDCAT-Class Grav Cycle
WILDCAT-Class Grav Cycle
A favorite of snipers and flag runners, the Wildcat is a ground-hugging "Terragrav" built for blazing speed. Skilled Wildcat pilots build reputations as fearless daredevils… or absolute psychopaths.
BEOWULF Assault Vehicle
BEOWULF Assault Vehicle
The Beowulf is the mainstay of tribal ground warfare, essentially bringing a mobile base turret with superior shielding into the fray. The two-man crew consists of a driver and a gunner. The turret carries either plasma cannons or mortars, depending on the crew's preference.
JERICHO-Class Mobile Point Base
JERICHO-Class Mobile Point Base
This vehicle only has one driver, no other crew. Yet it carries a full inventory station and an active sensor jammer, assets that can make a huge tactical difference in a tribal battle, as the Jericho permits a tribe to establish a forward firing base quickly. Though it moves ponderously, it is heavily shielded and carries no weapons. Commanders usually assign armored warriors to escort MPBs.
