Ancient demons, evil priestesses, and all types of wretched re-animated corpses serve the Dark Warlord's bidding.

The most numerous of the Dark Warlord's army, shadow soldiers are simple undead constructs of bone and sinew, kept together by the sheer willpower of the evil spirit housed inside of it.

Larger then the standard Shadow Soldier, Shadow Commanders are fearsome fighters, keeping their troops in line through fear. This control results in more efficient Shadow Soldiers and high level Shadow Commanders can execute Plays of their own. Destruction of a Shadow Commander will cause the troops it was in charge of to panic, and sometimes retreat.

The most cowardly of undead spirits inhabit these creatures who prefer to attack their enemy at range. But assuming cowardly results in weak will be the last mistake a samurai makes, for these archers take great delight in coating their arrows with all manner of poison, watching the death throes of their targets. Higher level Shadow Archers can even employ limited magic, increasing their rate of fire or even adding an explosive component to their attack.

The largest of the Dark Warlord's army of the undead, Neanderskulls are an alchemical combination of giant apes and humans. These gargantuan soldiers wield a maul that can flatten a grown man with one hit. Their dull nature results in a soldier that is slow to react to attacks, but at the same time, it makes them impossible to rout because they fear nothing.

Small water spirits, humanoid in form with small shells on their backs, their size belies a high strength. The child kappa attack in mobs, overwhelming their opponent. Their chief delight is devouring the intestines of their victims.

Tainted by the effects of the Dark Warlord, these gigantic shelled leviathans are some of the largest creatures in the land. Their powerful slashes can disembowel a man without a second thought. The shells of the Ancient Kappa can be used to make an excellent armor, among many things.

A twisted version of the pious and pure Shinto priestesses, these supernaturally beautiful demons take delight in cursing their targets with horrible pain inducing curses before blasting them apart with magically enhanced arrows. Shunning the more mundane forms of movement, these treacherous creatures make their way around by floating above the ground.

Also known as Mountain Oni or Green Oni, these atavistic demons bring down their prey with long slashes from their talons, causing festering painful wounds. Often hunting in packs, they are inhumanly strong. Fortunately, the Yama Oni are susceptible to Water Magic, and are easily routed if faced with a superior opponent.
