You first crossed paths with Elsa von Spielburg
during your early years as a hero. Although you are competing against her in the Rites of
Rulership contest, you respect this heroic, honorable woman. You know that she is a worthy
foe, and equal to any challenge. Perhaps, with luck, you and she will join forces to rid
Silmaria of the dark forces that conspire against it.

You admire the strength and skill of
this master gladiator. In fact, there is only one other who admires Magnum Opus more than
you do, and that is Magnum Opus himself. Magnum Opus will obligingly enlighten you as to
his numerous fine qualities, but if you engage Magnum Opus in such a conversation, be sure
you have plenty of time to spare.

Erasmus the wizard is known the
world over as a whiz of a wiz. You have known him for many years, and have long admired
his "Spelling." He is also somewhat - eccentric - and has a penchant for silly
riddles. In spite of this, he has taught you well in the magical arts. Let us hope his
instruction will keep you safe during your latest travails.

Fenris is a wisecracking, smart
aleck rat who lives with Erasmus, the powerful wizard. Fenris knows a few magical tricks
himself, which he keeps up his sleeve just in case.

Rakeesh may look like a beast, but
you have never known a nobler creature or had a more dependable friend. Throughout your
many adventures, Rakeesh has been your advisor and mentor; here in Silmaria he is at your
side once more, demonstrating through his own fine example the true meaning of heroism.

There are many fine spots where a
tired tourist can refresh himself after a busy day of sightseeing. One such spot is the
shop of Marrak Katta the Food Merchant. Marrak is mate to Sarra Katta the Bead Merchant,
and father to Salla the Musician. The family, originally from the desert sands of Raseir,
gives Town Square an exotic, multinational flavor that this travel writer just adores.
At any rate, all you have to
remember is that Marrak sells delicious foodstuffs, most notably gyros, sokalatak-ya,
fruit, and that delectable import from Nova Roma called "pizza." Stop by when
you're in need of refreshment or assistance; Marrak is always happy to help.

Town Square's atmosphere is a
delightful blend of beautiful sights, tantalizing smells, and haunting, exotic sounds.
Salla Katta is the daughter of Marrak the Food Merchant and Sarra the Bead Merchant. More
importantly, she is an accomplished panpipes musician who plays on the streets of
Silmaria, delighting passersby with her lyrical melodies. Try to engage her in
conversation if you will, but Salla is very quiet, preferring to let her music speak for
her.

No trip to Silmaria would be
complete without a visit to Sarra Katta's bead stand. Sarra Katta the Bead Merchant
handcrafts beautiful jewelry from genuine Silmarian shells. Sarra is always friendly and
polite, and her beadwork is of the highest quality. Be sure to call on Sarra when you
visit Town Square.
