So you're wondering what these 3D characters will look like...
Can they really be good enough to carry the drama of a Gabriel
Knight game? Well, take a look for yourself.
Also, have you wondered who is playing in our cast? Visit the Cast Members page to see who will be playing the role of each of our characters.
Gabriel Knight
A charming, rakish New Orleaner, Gabriel has a way with women when he's not
(and sometimes when he is) tracking down supernatural forces. This will be
his third case as Schattenjäger, an inherited role in which he serves as a kind-of
modern-day Inquisitor. It's difficult to tell if he solved his first two
cases with skill or sheer luck. On this case, he'll need plenty of both.
Another shot of Gabriel.
Gabriel MP3 (66K)
Grace Nakimura
Grace was on a PhD track at Yale when she decided to take a break for the
summer. She chose New Orleans, perhaps because it was exotic compared to
her native New York, perhaps because it was far away from her mother. It
was a fateful decision. She answered an advertisement for help in a book
store -- that was how she came to work for Mr. Knight. For any number of
reasons she's been bound to him ever since. Bound, inexorably, like light
and darkness themselves.
Grace MP3 (51K)
Detective Mosely
Mosely is from the New Orleans Police Department and is an
old friend of Gabriel's. Mosely just happens to be staying at
the same hotel, having come on a 'treasure hunt' vacation package.
"It sounded like a lark," he says, but his behavior is decidedly
strange. He keeps disappearing, for one thing. For another, he
seems a little too interested in Gabriel's case. Mosely further
bewilders by insisting that Gabriel not let anyone on the tour
know that he's a cop which, to Gabriel's thinking, is the only
remotely interesting thing about him.
Why does Gabriel get the feeling he's not really as 'off-duty'
as he claims?

Jean
Jean is the Maître d'hôtel in Rennes-Le-Château. He is always eager to help guests
with any problem they may have while staying at the hotel. He is one of the first people Gabriel meets
in in Rennes-Le-Château, and may be able to provide Gabriel with the basic information needed
to find his way around the mysterious village.

John Wilkes
Wilkes is an Australian of the exceedingly macho variety. In his late 40's, Wilkes has been all around the
world -- at least the desolate parts of it. He's a real treasure hunter,
that's quite obvious (although he won't talk about it unless exceedingly
drunk or well-seduced). Wilkes believes he has the secret of the treasure of
Rennes-le-Chateau. He believes the secret will make him incredibly wealthy.
But he ought to be careful to whom -- and how loudly -- he brags about it.
Wilkes MP3 (51K)
Vittorio Buchelli
Vittorio Buchelli is a soft-spoken Italian who keeps to himself. Although
he seems curious about the history of Rennes-le-Chateau, he's certainly
not interested in making friends with anyone else on the tour group. Guarded and
disdainful are the two words that come most readily to mind when
considering his attitude.
Most suspiciously, he's the last of the tour group to arrive and he claims
to have come in on a train that never existed.
Buchelli MP3 (118K)
Lady Howard
Lady Howard is a middle-aged thespian with a dramatic personal
style. She and her companion, Estelle, are clearly on a
mission, and Lady Howard is not the sort to tolerate anyone
standing in her way. They're an odd two-some, with a
feminist-sounding theory involving things like the "Arc of Nut"
and the "Womb of Isis". You would have to be on the pair's
own personal planet to make heads or tails of it. But what
is clear is that their mission is anything but a lark.
Indeed, a sheen of desperation underlies Lady Howard's elaborate
make-up job like so much skin cream.
Yes. You definitely get the message that not only do they
believe they'll find what they seek, but that they
must.

Estelle Stiles
Estelle is an athletic middle-aged woman with a mannish demeanor -
attractive in an earthy, no-nonsense way. She's dedicated to Lady Howard
and claims to have been with her for twenty years. It appears to be a match
made in heaven - at least as far as Lady Howard is concerned. Estelle not
only handles the annoying little tasks of everyday life like lifting
suitcases and paying bills, but she is also unflaggingly loyal and adoring,
even when Lady Howard's being a prig, which is often - Estelle claims
because Lady Howard's under a 'lot of pressure.'
Estelle MP3 (30K)
Emilio Baza
Emilio is a difficult bird to label. He appears to be an earthy
type in his Mediterranean/grunge garb and his scruffy hair and
beard. And there's a gentle, even tragic air about him that is
completely in tune with his Birkenstock sandals. And yet....
He clearly knows more than he's saying, and Gabriel and Grace
catch him in more than one act of subterfuge. What is his game?
If he's really not interested in material treasure, what is it
he seeks in the valley? And why does he seem so interested in
Gabriel and Grace's every move?

Taxi Driver
The local taxi driver was one of the first people Gabriel met in Rennes-le-Chateau. If only he could remember it . . . something about a
car, garlic, and a dog named Fifi. This man was at the train station that fateful night. What did he see? Gabriel might be able to find out, if he
can speak the right language -- and we don't mean French!
Additional sceenshots of the Taxi Driver:
Madeline Buthane
Beautiful, strong-willed, and erotically French, Buthane has down cold the
mix of outdoorsy-yet-quintessentially-feminine womanhood that few men can
resist. She certainly has her nearly all-male tour group wrapped around her
little finger. Still, she is awfully enthusiastic, one might even say
obsessed with the Rennes-le-Château treasure. Could the tour group be a
ruse? A way to get free labor for a personal mission or get frequent access
to the region for her own purposes? And is her interest in the ideas of
every male she runs into really coquettishness? Or is she hunting for
something specific?
Madeline MP3 (73K)
Abbé Arnaud
The church of St. Mary Magdalene is not a real church anymore, but
then Abbé Arnaud is no long a real Abbé. That he still is called one by the
locals reflects both their stubbornness and his. He tells Gabriel that he's
simply fascinated by the area and the story of the suddenly wealthy Abbé
Sauniére of 1891. Does he hope lightening will strike twice in the same
spot? How far into Sauniére's shoes has he put himself? And what secrets
has it taught him?
Prince James
Current scion of the House of Stewart and deposed king of Scotland?
Well, his entourage thinks so, as does Prince James himself. Indeed,
Gabriel will learn that his ambitions reach far beyond than the sullen
northern highlands. It is Prince James who contacts Gabriel, concerned
about his infant son's well-being. The Stewarts are stalked, it would
appear, though by what and why is something that Gabriel will have to plumb
the depths of Rennes-le-Château to discover.
