SIERRA STUDIOS TO INCORPORATE 3DEEP TECHNOLOGY INTO HOMEWORLD
Bellevue, WA (July 27, 1999) - Sierra Studios announced today that it
will integrate Sonnetech, Ltd.'s, 3Deep technology into their highly
anticipated PC game, Homeworld, due to ship this September. Through this strategic
partnership with Sonnetech, Sierra Studios is leading the industry with
their early adoption of the 3Deep technology.
3Deep is the first simple, absolute-gamma-correction software for 3D
games and graphics. Inaccurate gamma settings are responsible for
"washed out" or "too dark" images seen on many computer games.
3Deep provides a consistent and high-quality solution for delivering
accurate lighting and shading effects in the graphic renderings of
today's PC titles.
"Working with Sonnetech has been a great experience," said Jim
Veevaert, director of marketing for Sierra Studios. "I didn't think it
was possible, but Sonnetech's 3Deep technology really makes Homeworld
look even more amazing on any given computer screen."
Sonnetech, Ltd. is an innovator in color matching and other software for
enhancing computer displays, video cards, web browsers, digital
cameras, and printers. Sonnetech has sold more than 10 million copies of
Colorific® and 3Deep to date through OEM relationships with major
monitor, video card, and printer manufacturers, as well as through
retail channels. For further information, visit www.3deepgames.com.
