CAESAR III GOES GOLD!
IMPRESSIONS GAMES AND SIERRA STUDIOS TO SHIP THE MACINTOSH VERSION OF ONE OF 1998'S MOST ACCLAIMED GAMES
CAMBRIDGE, MA (June 3, 1999) - Mac gamer's overwhelming demand for one of 1998's most acclaimed PC strategy games is nearly over as Impressions Games and Sierra Studios announce that the Macintosh version of Caesar III has gone "gold" and is currently being manufactured. Caesar III will be available at retail outlets nationwide on June 18th.
"Mac gaming enthusiasts around the world have waited a long time to play Caesar III and we are excited to be only weeks away from delivering a truly immersive game-play experience," said Chris Beatrice, Director of Design and Development, Impressions Games. "Actions speak louder than words and once gamers play Caesar III they will understand why it is the must-have Mac game of the year."
Successor to the best-selling Caesar II, Caesar III is the strategy game offering players the opportunity to create, rule and defend a Roman-era city of their own design. The game features a new intuitive interface, more progressive career structure, one-level game play, a new musical score, and richly detailed animations, structures and terrain elements.
In anticipation of the retail release of Caesar III for the Macintosh, nearly 10,000 people have logged onto Impressions Games' Web site to download a playable demo version of the game. Caesar III will be available at retail for a suggested retail price of $49.95.
