Stainless Steel Studios Enlists Scenario Designer, Gordon "The Old Campaigner" Farrell

New Strike Team Member to contribute to Empire Earth, the cutting edge real-time strategy game

January 10, 2001 - Stainless Steel Studios, the cutting edge strategy game developer, announced today that Gordon "The Old Campaigner" Farrell has joined the Empire Earth Scenario Design Strike Team. The Strike Team is a group of professional and highly talented hardcore gamers who are helping to develop, design, and create Empire Earth's single player campaigns. Gordon is currently designing an epic campaign around one of the greatest empires of the ancient world.

Gordon's best known work, "The Persian Wars," is a six-campaign, 27 scenario masterpiece for Age of Empires that received rave reviews and top ratings from several publications. The entire opus was even included on PC Gamer's "Extended Play 2" compilation CD-ROM. Having established a reputation as one of the best underground AoE scenario designers, Gordon set out to do the same with AoE II: The Age of Kings. His first AoK campaign, "The Coming Of The Unborn King: A Pendragon Saga," won contests held at the AOE2.com web site and at King Arthur's Court, a British website. Computer Gaming World cited "The Coming Of The Unborn King" in their July, 2000 issue as one of the best add-on downloads available. His latest AoK campaign, "The Last Viking Prince," has also garnered much notoriety, with the AoK Heaven web site calling it: "Amazing... Gordon Farrell takes AoK to a whole new level."

Gordon is a playwright and screenwriter living in New York City. Since 1991, he has been on the faculty of New York University, where he teaches the history of the theatre, classical and modern dramatic literature, as well as playwriting and screenwriting. Gordon has also taught screenwriting at Yale, where he has been appointed a Visiting Lecturer six times.
