TRIBES 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 1999 Online Action/Strategy
Game of the Year: StarSiege TRIBES is the ultimate in team-based action
that offers massive and breathtaking worlds for exploration and battle, as
well as unprecedented innovations in team-based, tactical gameplay.
TRIBES 2 offers an environment where brainpower and teamwork are the
only true keys to survival...and victory. This experience is not limited to
the online players alone. TRIBES 2 adds a new single-player component that
will allow players to fill their teams with AI teammates before heading into
the epic and battles for which the TRIBES franchise has become known.
With its incredible new graphics engine, TRIBES 2 will immerse players
into breathtaking and massive worlds that are tormented by real time
weather effects, such as rain, snow, fog and lightning strikes. The
struggle for dominance over these worlds, however, will no longer take place only
between the Tribes of Man. In the 40th century, the warrior tribes of the
wilderzone are about to meet the ultimate enemy, and it is not human.
Genetically engineered and previously the servants of the Tribes of Man,
the BioDerms have broken free from their human shackles now seek to
claim the universe for their own...but more importantly, eradicate anything
human in the process. TRIBES 2 is scheduled to ship late Summer 2000.
