THE FOLLOWING PROMOTION IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING IN THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING RHODE ISLAND AND FLORIDA), CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC), THE UNITED KINGDOM AND AUSTRALIA ONLY AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF THOSE JURISDICTIONS.

Contest Rules

Please read these rules before entering the Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire "Whamma-Blamma II" on-line game (the "Contest"). By clicking on the "Accept" button below, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements in paragraph 1 below.

1. Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. CONTEST OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE U.S.(EXCLUDING RHODE ISLAND AND FLORIDA), CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC), THE UNITED KINGDOM AND AUSTRALIA, IF NOT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW. To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be completed and received by Sierra On-Line, Inc. ("Sierra") in the format designated below. Directors, officers and employees of Sierra and its affiliates, and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited. Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person using one or more e-mail accounts will not be accepted. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account, which may be identified by reverse domain name search. In the event of any dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the e-mail address from which the e-mail was sent. Limit one (1) prize per person.

2. Disclaimer. Sierra, all participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, employees and agencies will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sierra; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.

3. Contest Period. The Contest period is from Thursday, Oct 29, 1998 to Thursday, May 20, 1999. Each Thursday, one question about Quest for Glory ("Quest") will be posted on the Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire website located at http://www.qg5.com (the "website"). A drawing will be held each following Wednesday during the Contest period to determine the winner for that week. All entries for each weekly drawing must be received before midnight, 12:00 AM (Pacific Standard Time) on Tuesday evening (the "Weekly Deadline") to be eligible to win a prize for that week. Verification for meeting the Weekly Deadline shall be by the email date stamp on the submitted entry.

4. Prizes
Each week one prize winner will be randomly selected from the contestants that answered the question correctly for that week. Each prize winner shall be awarded one (1) Cambridge Soundworks PCWorks FourPointSurround multimedia speaker system with powered subwoofer. A total of thirty (30) speaker systems will be awarded during the Contest period.

Approximate retail value of each prize combination is $100.00. Total approximate retail value of all prizes is $3000.00.

Odds of winning a prize depend on number of eligible entries received. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

All prizes will be awarded. Prizes not claimed within 7 days after delivery of notification will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of any prizes will be permitted, except that Sierra reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. Canadian prizewinners will be required to answer a mathematical skill testing question before being awarded any prize. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of any prize.

5. How to Enter. To enter, use your web browser to go to the Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire website located at http://www.qg5.com . Click on the button marked "Contest" on the sidebar to follow the link to the Contest page. Every Thursday during the Contest Period, one (1) question will be posted on the Contest page regarding Quest . Answer the question to the best of your ability. Fill in your name, address (including zip code), country and email address, and submit by the following Weekly Deadline.

The first person picked randomly from the contestants that correctly answered the question for that week, shall win the prize set forth above. Entries will be deemed qualified only upon receipt by Sierra, verified by the email time-stamp.

6. Notification; Claiming a Prize. Winners will be announced each Friday on the Contest page at the Website on the week following the Weekly Deadline and will also be notified by e-mail within thirty (30) days after determination. To claim a prize, winners should follow the instructions contained in their notification.

7. Sierra Ownership of Entries. All entries and other materials (the "Entry Materials") (including all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated therewith) submitted by you, become the property of Sierra upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant.

8. General Release. By entering the Contest, you release Sierra and its parent affiliates and each of their directors, officers and employees from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.

9 Use of Winner's Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the contest constitutes permission to use winners' name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any prize, except where prohibited by law, winners may be required to execute a consent to the use of their name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.

10 Affidavit & Release. As a condition of being awarded any prize, winners will be required to execute and deliver to Sierra a signed affidavit of eligibility and acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability.

11. Winners List; Rules Request. For a copy of the winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after May 20, 1999 and before June 1, 2000 to Sierra at the address listed below, Attn: "Whamma Blamma II…" Winners List. To obtain a copy of these rules, send a stamped, self-addressed business-size envelope to Sierra at the address listed below, Attn: "Whamma Blamma II…" Rules Request. Residents of WA and VT may omit return postage.

13. Miscellaneous. The Contest and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sierra, which are final and binding in all respects. Sierra reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Contest or any entrant's participation in the Contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sierra's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Contest or Sierra otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the Contest as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, tamper with the operation of the Contest or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sierra, the Contest or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Sierra's sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the Contest. Sierra reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the Contest.
