If the updated patch does not solve the problem, try these additional solutions before contacting Sierra Technical Support.

June 26, 2000
Mark H. Walker selects Ground Control as an example of much needed innovation in the real-time strategy genre in his Gameslice editorial today. "[Massive Entertainment's] "Ground Control" is THE FIRST RTS science fiction game to employ honest by-God military tactics," writes Walker. "Massive dug deep into turn-based war gaming archives to pull out several features -- such as differing armor thickness on tank's front and sides, the ability to hide troops in tall grass, and the importance of combined arms -- and inserted them into smack dab into the middle of Ground Control. The result is an engaging game that challenges the brain as well as the click-finger, and attracts RTS folks AND wargamers."

Ground Control: The Gamespot Preview
March 27, 2000
"The original inspiration for Ground Control came when I was playing a few of the good old RTS games
like Dune 2, Warcraft II, and Command & Conquer," says Massive Entertainment's CEO Martin Walfisz in a
recent talk with the PC gaming site Gamespot. "Those games are great fun, but their strategic focus lies
in being smart about what you construct, when you construct it, and the resources you harvest. With
Ground Control, on the other hand, we wanted to make a game that gives you the same amount of
gameplay depth, but where the strategy lies in how you tactically command your units on the battlefield."
