the year's biggest games."

The January 2001 issue of PC Gamer gives a cover mention to Empire Earth and features a three-page preview. Here's the judgement from the magazine's illuminati:
From what we've seen of Empire Earth thus far, it may . . . just happen to kick the genre's [expletive deleted] upside-down. Real-time strategy fans everywhere should be in for a real treat when the tweaking and testing is done sometime in late 2001.
The Empire Earth Command Center recently posted a transcript of their interview with newly hired Empire tester "Redline." The gorgeous new Empire Earth Command Center site has been installed with a full battery of Empire Earth resources. These folks have an inside track on the development process, and even list Empire Earth designer Methos as a staffer. Check out their exclusive forum discussions and Stainless Steel interviews.Gamespot recently published two new highly complimentary overviews of Empire Earth: a lengthy examination of the game features and a report from a playtest at a San Francisco press event. Not to be outdone, Gamespy has released an epoch-by-epoch tour of the game, which leads in with the following confident appraisal:
You've probably read the stock phrase "change the face of gaming" dozens of times in the past, when over-exuberant game journalists froth excitedly at the keyboard after a free PR lunch and an XL T-shirt. However, in the case of Empire Earth, the phrase is truly justified.
SimMayor of Empire Earth Place recently conducted an interview with Rick Goodman and writer/designer Stefan Arnold that addressed game features, production challenges and Stainless Steel's choice of Sierra as a publishing partner. Read the full transcript.
