Half-Life: Blue Shift is Here!
Half-Life®: Blue Shift, the newest episode in the award-winning Half-Life series, has arrived! In Blue Shift, you return to the Black Mesa as the security guard who allied with Gordon Freeman in the original, award-winning thriller. Blue Shift also contains the Half-Life HD Pack, which automatically upgrades the weapons and characters in all previous Half-Life games with new high-definition content. Exclusively in North America, Blue Shift includes Half-Life: Opposing Force, winner of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Action Game of the Year Award. Half-Life: Blue Shift is now available from shop.sierra.com and at retail stores near you.
In Other News...
The sheet music for the main theme from Arcanum is now available in the Soundtrack section. A new score will be posted every week through the game's worldwide release on August 21st. The scores can be viewed using the Finale Music Viewer which allows users to audition and print the music from their web browser. A full score is available for following along with the recordings, and the individual parts are provided for performance.
The entire Arcanum soundtrack, performed by members of the Seattle Symphony, is available for download at MP3.com.
Multiplayer gamers will be required to update to Half-Life version 1.1.0.7 and Half-Life: Counter-Strike 1.0.0.2 on July 11th at 3 PM pacific time. These updates include feature additions and bug fixes including the addition of Deathmatch Classic and a new update utility. Users can download the new versions from this website or upgrade through AutoUpdate, a program included as part of the Sierra Utilities. To open AutoUpdate, find the Sierra Utilities program group which appears by default under the Windows Start Menu.

Visitors to the SWAT 3: Elite Edition website can now interact with a 3D model of a SWAT officer directly from within their web browser. As in the game, the model moves according to motion-captured movements recorded from actual LAPD SWAT officers. Sierra On-Line is proud to unveil an exciting lineup of titles at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, May 17th - 19th. The lineup includes both PC and next-generation console games. Look for the Arcanum Demo on Computer Gaming World's companion CD-ROM in the June 2001 issue. This whopping 255 MB demo includes the first locales from the game. The June issue of CGW is due on newsstands across North America in early May.
